The Couple and Their Decision to Elope at Lake Wenatchee

One of the best things about elopements is that they can be done your way! For Aimi and Tyler, once they decided on an adventure elopement, they were all in!

When the couple first reached out to me, they shared that they had originally been considering just “going to the courthouse” for their elopement. After reading some of my blogs and looking at my work though, they fell in love and felt that an adventure elopement would be much more meaningful for them. They especially fell in love with this A-frame cabin session and their vision included a secluded location with a beautiful background showcasing the beautiful PNW.

When we hopped on the phone, I shared with them Lake Wenatchee in the North Cascades region and they instantly fell in love and could see themselves eloping there.

This is one of the things that we love about elopements. An elopement day can look however you want, and oftentimes, plans can change throughout the process as we start to focus on what is truly meaningful to you as a couple.

From an Intimate Elopement on the Beach with Loved Ones To a Sunset Adventure Session in the Mountains, this Is How To Elope At Lake Wenatchee Adventurously

Aimi and Tyler’s elopement day started at the most magical A-frame cabin in the Cascades. The couple wanted orange in their color palette and Rain and Pines created magic with a masterpiece of a bouquet. Everything about their day was so intentional, including the details on their vow books. I learned that the sign on their vow book is a Japanese sign for a love umbrella. 🥰

After their first look at the cabin, we headed to picturesque Lake Wenatchee for their elopement ceremony. It was one of the most intimate and sweetest ceremonies I've ever witnessed.

We ate cake, popped the champagne, and celebrated their love with their two friends as witnesses.

For sunset photos, we hiked up a new trail I found. Since it was spring in Washington, we were spoiled with amazing wildflowers all around us.

As the sun set, Aimi and Tyler had their first dance and I was in tears. 😭❤️ We started the hike back down when it got dark and the city lights lit our way down the mountain.

This day was filled with all the best PNW elopement views. We went from A-frame cabin to glacier-fed lakes, to pine trees, to even desert vibes complete with a stunning sunset. All within Washington!

Aimi and Tyler, words can't describe how amazing your elopement day was. I appreciate the way you gently open your hearts for me so I could capture your honest emotions. Your story is the epitome of why intentionally weddings matter. Congrats to you both!

Kind words from the couple:

Our whole experience with Henry has been beyond amazing, we don't know where to begin! My husband and I had been engaged for a little over a year when the pandemic hit. Since we are naturally introverted, and also had just purchased our first home, we decided to elope. We thought about different options, and was leaning towards a courthouse wedding. However, after looking at Henry's photos from a friend's recommendation, we were completely blown away- his intimate, real, and beautiful photos left us in awe. We decided to book a consult, and after talking to Henry we knew we wanted to do an adventure elopement. We also decided to work with his husband Viet from Rain and Pines, which was also an amazing experience. Between Henry and Viet- everything was taken care of, and we felt so comfortable and cared for. Only thing we had to worry about from our end was getting our wedding dress and my husband's suit! Henry and Viet were so incredibly friendly and made us feel really comfortable from our consults to the wedding day- which was something we were a little worried about (as introverts). It felt like just hanging out with friends, while being able to have an incredibly intimate and romantic wedding. We wouldn't have changed a thing about our experience and wedding day, and I am so so grateful we chose to elope with Henry as our guide. Henry literally helped with everything, from planning the date, recommending air bnbs, wedding/photo locations, etc as we were totally clueless! Not only that, but he really went above and beyond for us- you can really see his talent and love for photography in his work. When we received the photos we were speechless- they were absolutely beautiful! Having these amazing photos to share back home with our family and friends is truly priceless. We wholeheartedly recommend Henry and are so incredibly grateful for both Henry and Viet- Thank you for making our most wonderful day beautiful, fun, stress-free, and for capturing all the memories so that we can look back and enjoy them for years to come! We love them!
