How to Plan a Joshua Tree Elopement | California Elopement Photographers

One of the things that stuck out to me most from Ashley and Ash’s Joshua Tree Elopement was their willingness to be vulnerable. Vulnerable with me, yes, but also with each other. I think magic happens when we become vulnerable with the people in our lives and right from the moment Ashley and Ash inquired, they opened their hearts and invited me into their journey in finding not only love but who they are.

I love photos that make you feel something, make you wonder what the day was like, make you experience love :0 This is one of those photos for me!

The Couple and Their Decision to Elope at Joshua Tree National Park

Ashley and Ash (or the Ashleys as they referred to themselves) knew they wanted to elope in Joshua Tree from day 1. They chose the cutest Airbnb retreat to have their ceremony and wanted to plan an intimate day that was full of emotion, intensity, smiles, laugher, chemistry & passion! They invited their two best friends to witness their special day and overall had the best day just being present and expressing their love for each other!

From Running Around the Desert To Meaningful Moments by the Fire, This Is How To Elope In Joshua Tree Adventurously

Ashley and Ash spent the morning getting ready with their BFFs and then prepared for their first look in front of the Airstream. Even though we were visiting during the spring, the Palm Desert can get quite hot in the afternoon so we applied 10,000 layers of sunscreen! 🤣

The couple then exchanged their vows under the desert sun before running around Joshua Tree with me for their adventure photos!

The Airbnb they were staying at had a cute hot tub and a couple of steel water tanks so we wanted to get some fun photos of them with the brides in their wedding dresses. The brides’ friends helped us by boiling water, trying to make it warm for them. But by the time we got back from sunset photos, it was quite cold. Their reactions getting into the water were so raw the only way I could tell a full story is through GIF.

We spent the rest of the evening taking steamy photos, eating cake, and sharing meaningful moments with each other around the fire.

Ashley and Ash, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your adventure. You both are beautiful in every way and it was such an honor to capture your beauty :)
