Eloping in Washington State | North Cascades National Park Elopement Packages
The Couple and Their Decision to Elope in the North Cascades
Ashley and Wesley’s snowy North Cascades elopement actually took place in the middle of the summer. The thing about Washington is that summertime is the best time of year, in my opinion. The weather is mild, the wildflowers are in bloom and the hiking trails are wide open to explore. As you go up into the mountains though, you can find locations that are still covered in snow so you get that beautiful white backdrop without the freezing cold temperature!
The couple chose to get married on July 14th as it was their 11th year anniversary of being together. They had originally planned to elope in 2020 for their ten-year anniversary but due to COVID-19 they chose to reschedule to the following year. When it comes to planning an elopement all couples are different. Some prioritize the date while others prioritize the location. The amazing thing about elopement weddings is that you get to choose what is important to you and plan the rest of your day around that. For Ashley and Wesley, the important thing was the date so we planned their elopement around that which led us to choose eloping in the North Cascades.
From an Elopement Ceremony With Family To Quiet Moments Alone in the Mountains, this Is How To Elope In the North Cascades National Park Adventurously
One of the things I loved so much about Ashley and Wesley’s elopement day was that the couple wanted the focus of the day to be on spending quality time alone together. Even though we went on a couple of hiking trails in the mountains, they did not want to spend all their time hiking so I found some hiking trails that offered incredible views without requiring hours and hours of hiking.
The couple also wanted to make sure that their elopement ceremony location would be easy for their family to get to and there are several trail spots in the North Cascades that work great for elopements with guests. We ended the night with Ashley and Wesley exchanging private vows in the mountain just before sunset and then celebrated with a champagne spray. You know if you’re eloping with Henry Tieu Photography there’s gonna be champagne!!!
Ashley and Wesley, thank you both for inviting me to celebrate your elopement day with you. I still can’t get over how beautiful your day was and you two were! Miss you both.
