The Couple and Their Decision to Get Married on the Southern Oregon Coast

Aaron and Natalie are true adventures who share a mutual love of exploring the unknown. The couple met back in 2017 on Bumble and have been bonding over adventure and travel ever since!

Their decision to plan an intimate Southern Oregon Coast wedding was actually quite easy. Pre-COVID they had always discussed eloping in Scotland. They fell in love with the moody vibes and dreamed of having moody, green, dramatic scenery surrounding them on their elopement day, but with all the uncertainty in the world, they opted for a similar experience in the PNW.

Oregon holds a special place in their hearts because not only is it the place where Aaron is from, but it’s also where they’ve shared some of their favorite memories together.

We hopped on the phone and immediately decided on a location on the Southern Oregon Coast.

Sergio and I have photographed on the Southern Oregon Coast quite a few times this year, but each time, we want to make sure to never capture the same photo over and over.

For Natalie and Aaron’s elopement, we spent hours looking for locations that don't even have names on google maps. We found an amazing private location for the couple to exchange their private vows and since their intimate wedding happened in the fall, we got to experience the most magical moody PNW vibes!

From Private Vows Overlooking the Coast To a Magical String Light Dinner Reception On the Cliffs, this Is How To Get Married On the Southern Oregon Coast Adventurously

Natalie and Aaron’s Southern Oregon Coast wedding day was moody and magical and I could not handle how elegant this couple looked against the gorgeous Southern Oregon Coast!

We all woke up early so we could spend the whole day soaking in the experience of an intimate wedding.

One of my favorite details from Natalie and Aaron’s intimate wedding day was the handwritten cards. The couple kept all their cards for each other and brought them all to their elopement and even exchanged a few new ones. It was magical. 🙂

After getting ready (and lots of tears and intimate moments with family), Natalie and Aaron shared a first look and private vows on a secluded cliff overlooking the water. One thing about intimate weddings and elopements is that you can preserve privacy even with family and guests joining. The couple shared their vows in private before seeing the rest of their family for the ceremony and got to experience an intimate moment together before heading into the rest of their wedding day.

For their intimate wedding ceremony, we found another stunning spot and with the sound of waves crashing in the background, Natalie and Aaron exchanged vows with their family and friends as witnesses.

Then the three of us (plus their fur baby Winston) were off to explore the coast. We created art even in the thickest layers of fog and, of course, shot all the way into blue hour.

After the sun set, we went back to their intimate wedding venue, Crook Point, to the most gorgeous cliffside reception dinner (all done by Rain and Pines), looking over the ocean.

Natalie and Aaron, thank you for letting me spend the day with you and your family. Your intimate wedding day was beautiful and I am so grateful to have been a small part. Congratulations on your love and marriage!

Kind words from the couple:

It’s hard to know where to even begin. Our experience with Henry was the best we could have ever hoped for. He is truly as genuine and authentic as the beautiful moments he captures through the lens. For the 14 months we were planning our special day, up to the day itself, never at any point did we feel like we were participating in a “business transaction.” Even through email and video calls, Henry’s compassion and care shined through. Not only did we as a couple walk away from our day remarking how incredibly sweet and awesome he was, but so did our family and friends. Henry knew we would be camping a few days after we wed and went out of his way to make sure we received a bunch of sneak peaks a mere TWO DAYS after, before we went off the grid. The moments Henry captured left us both in the best happy tears. We will forever cherish these memories and images.

If you are looking for a photographer who is not only exceptionally talented, but is a great person, please look no further.

Thank you so very much, Henry 💕
