One witness - at least 12 years old or older - must be present at the ceremony. Many times, if our couples do not have any guests present, we act as one of the witnesses for them.

Per state law, there is no waiting period for obtaining your marriage license but you can only apply for a license within 90 days of your elopement date. If you are getting married in a National or State park a Special Use permit may be required as well as a parking permit.
