Intimate Wedding at Mount Rainier National Park A-Frame Cabin | Washington LGBTQ Elopement Photographer
Mount Rainier National Park is a magical place with some of the most beautiful mountain views around the Pacific Northwest, and this A-Frame Cabin is the perfect place for all kind of intimate weddings and elopements.
If you have read my past Blog Posts, you probably have seen the name Mount Rainier National Park appears a lot. That is because Mt. Rainier is such an iconic mountain for Washington. The minute you arrive at Seattle Tacoma International Airport, you see this beautiful mountain right away.
Mount Rainier National Park has multiple entrances with trails ranging from 1 mile and up to hundreds of miles, truly, whatever kind of views you are looking for on your wedding or elopement day, Mt. Rainier has it all.
With minimal boho floral arrangements and lots of love, Ella and DJ’s small and intimate wedding at this A-Frame Cabin at Mount Rainier National Park was beyond beautiful, moody, and 100% what they could had envisioned
Ella and DJ inquired me about 3 months before their intimate wedding, which is not uncommon when it comes to elopement and intimate wedding planning. In case you wonder, I don’t draw a line when it comes to “is this a wedding or is this an elopement”. What I focus on is the vibes and the intimacy of the day.
The couple found my work through the other elopement that I photographed at this A-Frame Cabin
From the initial phone call, I knew their day would be super intimate and minimalistic but also will be full details that represent who they are and what their love is.
Since their intimate wedding / elopement is in the middle of September at Mount Rainier National Park, my number one concern was rain. As a Pacific Northwest elopement photographer, I am familiar with rain and I have trained myself to photograph in the rain just fine. However, I always want to make sure my couples understand the weather and how things can change quickly in the PNW. I informed the couple and their response made my day. Ella and DJ told me rain or shine, they will get married and they trusted me with everything 🙂
The day started with Ella getting ready at the A-Frame Cabin and DJ stayed at another cabin. As I arrived, the weather kept changing on us. I could not tell for sure whether the rain would hold. We basically had a bit of everything on their wedding day: rain, sun, fog, wind
Ella’s mom set up the ceremony spot with beautiful boho floral arrangements from Terra Bella Flowers. She even bought a little tent to cover the reception area. Without her, it would have been a super wet and cold dinner for all of us 🙂 Speaking of dinner, Ella and DJ, thanks for saving me a spot at the dinner table and treated me like a family member.
At the ceremony, DJ surprised her bride with a performance with her best friends. And I knew I had to do a GIF to capture everyone’s reactions, especially Ella’s.
Although it was raining hard, the couple and their family did not let that stop them from having fun and celebrating the couple in the most unique and intimate ways. I am beyond grateful to have the couple’s love and trust for everything that I do. Ella and DJ, you guys allowed me to be creative and allowed me to be in your lives in a way I could capture the real you, the real authentic moments, the real authentic feelings. Thank you a million times.
