Waterfall Elopement at Mount Hood | Mt Hood Elopement Photographers
The Couple and Their Decision to Elope at Mount Hood
Hillary and Piper’s Mt Hood elopement was such a relaxed, intimate day!
The couple first met in 2015 while working at the same psychiatric hospital. They started dating soon after and got engaged on Piper’s birthday 6 years later.
When they first reached out to start planning their adventure elopement, the couple told me they liked simplicity and nature. They enjoyed going on hikes together and not just getting to the top to experience the view, but taking their time and soaking in everything all in along the way.
When we hopped on a call, we talked about a magical summer elopement in the Oregon mountains. Hillary and Piper dreamed of having a cozy cabin nestled in the quiet woods where they could have an intimate gathering with their close friends while also being surrounded by nature.
We ended up finding a moody cabin close to a waterfall which made for the perfect Mt Hood elopement ceremony location!
From Hiking Through the Forest with Friends To an Intimate Reception Dinner, This Is How To Elope at Mt Hood Adventurously
The moment I met up with Hillary and Piper and their friends, it felt like I had known all of them forever. Hillary and Piper are one of the most laid-back couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with and they instantly welcomed me into their group.
After the brides finished getting ready, we all packed up, drove to Mount Hood, and set out hiking to their waterfall elopement location. While we hiked, we talked and had an awesome time getting to know each other while also enjoying all the beautiful scenery around us. The hiking trail ran along a river so it was so pretty and relaxing hearing the water along the way.
Once we arrived at the end of the trail, we all stopped and stared in amazement at the view in front of us! The waterfall was incredible and so dreamy which was exactly what Hillary and Piper had envisioned. I found a perfect ceremony location close to the waterfall. As Hillary and Piper shared their vows, we all felt the cool mist on that very hot evening which felt so refreshing.
We hung out at the waterfall for a few hours taking photos before heading back to their Airbnb for a cozy reception dinner. Everyone hung out, had some drinks, and ate some delicious cake from Berg Confections while listening to the talented musician Seiichi. It was a perfect end to a perfect day.
Hillary and Piper, thank you so much for welcoming me and trusting me to document your day. Your elopement was beautiful and I wish you both the best in life and marriage!
