Being the only National Park in the State of Washington that offers both gorgeous mountain views and Twilight-like beaches, Olympic National Park is definitely a “must see” place when you come visit the Pacific Northwest.

Jessica and Eric initially wanted an easy, carefree couple photo session nearby Seattle since they had planned on summiting Mount Rainier. Summiting a mountain is no joke so I knew exactly what they meant by having a session where they don’t have to do a lot of hiking.
A month before we met up, I received another email from the couple. Since they wanted to check out Olympic National Park in this trip, they wanted to have their engagement session there. I could not have been more excited since if you have read any other blog posts from me, you have how obsessed I am with all the National Park. I did research like crazy and finally found this perfect spot for the couple.
It was a bit overcast on the day we met. I knew the weather in Fall can be unpredictable so I brought the essentials for the couple: extra towels, umbrellas, and most importantly, some alcohol. Guess who has the same idea? Jessica and Eric! Hahha, we sat in the car, drank wine out of coffee mug to warm ourselves up and talked about van life before running around the mountain at a high elevation
I honestly couldn’t think of a better day to visit this place in Olympic National Park. It was drizzling when we first got there. Then during sunset, the sun came below the stormy clouds and we got rain and sun at the same time. I turned around and there was also a rainbow. Truly, it was so pretty it took our breaths away.
We talked, we kept each other warm, we cried. I am so grateful to be a part of their story. I am so grateful to create a creative and carefree space where Jessica and Eric can feel comfortable enough to share with me not only their pretty side but also the vulnerable side.
