The Couple and Their Decision to Plan a Luxury Mountain Elopement at Mt Baker
When I first met AmberRae and Bernard, I became immediately obsessed with the vision they had for their elopement. As they put it, they wanted power couple (think Jay Z and Beyonce) meets the elopement scene in Braveheart as they put it. They wanted their day to feel like they ran off together and secretly eloped in a whimsical forest. It was also important to them that the day felt very moody and romantic. They wanted to make sure that they would be able to spend every moment of their day together intimately.
More importantly than any of the wedding day details they shared with me, AmberRae and Bernard wanted the elopement day to be all about just the two of them. After we talked and got very clear on their vision, we ultimately decided on an Mt Baker elopement in North Cascades National Park. The couple chose a dark, moody cabin in the forest with the perfect vibes to kick off their epic elopement in nature.
From Designer Wedding Details To a Peaceful Elopement Ceremony in the Mountains, this Is How To Elope In the North Cascades Adventurously
We started AmberRae and Bernard’s luxury mountain elopement day at Hygge House, their moody cabin nestled in the forest.
The couple wanted a relaxing start to their day before they got ready so we captured some steamy, cozy fireplace photos as they got ready.
After they each changed into their outfits, we then found a quiet place in the woods where we held their private ceremony. The location we found was a hidden gem as we had the whole place to ourselves and the light filtering through the trees was gorgeous. After their ceremony, we celebrated with a beautiful maroon wedding cake from Sift and Gather.
We explored the forest a bit more before heading up to the North Cascade mountain peaks for our next adventure. We spent the whole evening exploring and wandering around the mountain tops just admiring the epic views all around us.
As the sun started to go down, we found a quiet place where AmberRae and Bernard exchanged their personal vows. Afterward, the lanterns came out and we ended this perfect day with some blue light photos!
