The word wedding is often associated with “tradition”, “love”, “celebration”. The word elopement is often associated with “secret”, “small”, “lonely”, “court house”.

So what does it mean to elope? An elopement is more than getting married in nature. In the world of intimate weddings and adventure elopements, the day you get married does not need to be adhered to any expectations. When you choose to elope or to have an intimate wedding, you choose to focus on the INTENTIONAL EXPERIENCE of wholeheartedly having your day the way you want to. You do so so that years from now, you won’t have any “oh we should have…”

So you can choose to elope with just the two of you (and us, the best adventure elopement photographers out there, duh 😆😘) or with some friends and family members. You can choose to travel to somewhere meaningful to your relationship or a destination completely new to start your marriage on an adventurous note. Besides Henry and Sergio (your future elopement photographer wink wink 😘), we have a team that work together to find locations that are unique and inspiring according to what you envision for your day.

We don't just want beautiful landscapes, we want landscapes that can inspire you and the start of your marriage.

So whether it’s an ADA trail so everyone can be there, or an 4x4 off-roading adventure up the mountain, or a Helicopter ride to a private summit, we’ll find it.

Assistance with Vendor, Lodging, Permitting and Licensing

Do you need a hair and make up artist who understands the nature of elopements so they could provide make up that would last the whole day of adventuring? Or do you need help with navigating which permit we might need to apply for the chosen location?

We know that wedding planning can be stressful but hey, elopement planning is much better because we will be there alongside with you providing assistance with finding vendors, lodging, activities for your day as well as providing guidance on how to file appropriate permit and license applications

Where do I even begin to describe our experience with Henry?? My now husband and I hired Henry in January to photograph our adventure elopement and from our very first video call with him we knew we would love working with him! Talking with Henry immediately felt comfortable like chatting with a close friend, lots of smiles and laughs all around. Once we booked Henry he was never more than an email, text, or video call away. Every question we had, every location we were curious about, and every time we changed our mind or a pandemic hit Henry was right there to guide us and offer resources and insight. Henry even worked with us when we decided to change our ceremony location on the day of our elopement. When we finally got to meet Henry in person I immediately felt a sense of calm and comfort. It truly felt like Henry was a part of our family and knew exactly how to capture us and make everyone relax and just be in the moment. Throughout the day Henry would give little sneaks at the photos he was capturing and this would only build up everyone's excitement and truly showed his excitement for what he was capturing. Henry was so collaborative and any ideas we had for a photo he would not only capture it but make it even better than anything we imagined. Henry truly brought out and captured all the best parts of our elopement, he laughed with us, he celebrated with us, and he made us feel so special throughout our entire planning process and elopement. We truly trusted him every step of the way and could feel his heart being poured into our day. He is also a record breaking editor and somehow despite being in the height of elopement season we got our entire gallery back in less than one month and there are no words for how AMAZING they are. The photos Henry captured are like a time capsule that take us right back to the moments and feelings of our elopement. Working with Henry was beyond anything we ever expected. My expectations were already high, just from his work that I had found on Pinterest. Then when we met him, I very quickly understood why his work was breathtaking. He pours his entire soul into you and your significant other. He captures moments that you wouldn’t even think about and creates magic, all while having you laughing. After five minutes with him you feel like you’ve known him your entire life. He made everything so comfortable, including the groom which is very hard to do. We are and were very blessed to find him and have him grace us with his passion and creativity for photography. We can’t thank him enough and we can gladly say we are obsessed with our photos and we will without a doubt be booking him for future life moments.

Update!!! We just got our complete session bag with a complementary video. We both cried like a baby. I mean I knew what he could do but when you actually see yourself in his work your left gasping for words. How do you even describe something so precious and something takes your breath away. "Super kind, down to earth, crazy professional and organized"

YOU GUYS, look no further and BOOK Henry right this minute (and also his husband Viet!) Looking for a wedding photographer is hard enough, but looking for an LGBTQ+ photographer that wants to do a 7.5 mile hike with you. Well, that's nearly impossible. BUT then there was Henry and Viet. They are the most magical humans you will ever meet - super kind, down to earth, crazy professional and organized (thank goodness because I'm not!) and listened to everything that was important to us for our special day and made it happen like MAGIC.

They were also SUPER flexible due to some issues with scheduling we had and gave us a whole year to reschedule when our first date didn't work out - How amazing!? Our Mount Rainier elopement was only made so so incredibly special and FUN with the help of these two gems. The design was on point (thanks Viet!) and the photos were clearly incredible (thanks Henry!). If you are on the fence, I hope this review pushes you over. These two are the bees knees and you need to book them ASAP. <3

I will try to summarize how wonderful and talented of a human Henry is to work with - but it may get long! From the very beginning, he was the ‘man behind the curtain’ in the whole elopement. He was as involved as a wedding planner and took on so much more than just being the amazing photographer. Through multiple conversations, he researched and narrowed down locations for us based on criteria that we wanted, without us ever being able to see the actual places. During the crazy fires, he was available to calm nerves and be ready to adjust if needed. All while having multiple other couples to work with at the same time, we never felt like he wasn’t giving us his full attention. The day of flew by, and the timeline he provided was invaluable. He’s so tuned in to his craft, that we didn’t even know he was capturing the day.

When we began the hike, it felt like we had our own personal guide, and we enjoyed so much the time to get to know him and appreciate the journey up. It really made everything so much more comfortable feeling like he was just another friend along with us. And when unexpected things popped up, he wasn’t phased. He is comfortable directing or redirecting, and knows exactly what/when/where things need to be done, without being pushy. We appreciated the direction and calmness that he so naturally gives. After we received our album, we were breath taken and so thankful to see moments captured that had already started to fade in our memories - there was just so much from that day! He really was able to tell the story of the entire day through his pictures of us. When we look at the pictures, we are instantly taken back to the mountains, to that day. We’re so thankful we were able to work with him, he was absolutely the key to our elopement - and will be happy when we can give him a REAL hug when we visit Washington again. I wish we could get married all over again with him!

I am so thankful my husband came across Henry Tieu on Instagram. My husband and I were married in Feb 2020 in a ceremony that was more for our families and not ideally what we wanted in terms of expressing our true selves - we are pretty private with our feelings and didn't want everyone to hear our vows and see us ugly cry. We had a small elopement ceremony in Yosemite with our closest friends and family joining us. Henry met us early in the morning and from there on out, it felt like spending a day at the park with one of your closest friends. Viet joined us as well and the cake and flowers were so so so beautiful and perfect. The whole day, we never felt awkward or nervous and we truly were able to be ourselves, which was so important for us for our wedding day!

Due to COVID, we had to delay our adventure elopement from Aprill to July, but Henry helped us keep our spirits up and remind us that our love is not cancelled. Wow, where do I even begin? To say that Henry is an amazing photographer is quite the understatement. Henry is the best, truly. Aside from saying yes to marrying my husband (lol), asking Henry to photograph our elopement was the next best decision I ever made. Our ceremony took place in Yosemite National Park. He did all the research and laid out the logistics such as timing/locations for us. In other words, he did all the heavy lifting to make sure that everything went smoothly on our day. Not only is Henry super friendly and professional, he also makes you feel so comfortable. After spending the day with him, my husband and I seriously felt as if we had known him for 10+ years. Not to mention, you can just tell that Henry is truly passionate about his work. Not only that, he also cares about his clients. To him, it's more than just a business transaction.
