If you’ve been following my work for a while, you know I am obsessed with Mount Rainier National Park. I usually buy decal stickers at every single National Park I’ve been to and I bought 3 at Rainier 🤣😘.

Since Mt. Rainier National Park is ginormous with so many trails, every time I visit this place is like the first time ever. This time I get to visit Rainier in a beautiful afternoon in the Fall of 2019.
Joey and Kim flew in from San Jose because they are in love with the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I found a beautiful trail and wanted to try so I presented to the couple. At this point, I had not had a chance to explore the trail before but I did a whole lot of research and was very confident we would be able to reach the spot I wanted to show the couple. I was so happy when they said yes to my proposal because I knew this place would be epic
I met up with the couple and we drove together to the top of Mount Rainier. It was quite chilly when we first got there but as we started hiking, it got warm fast. We stopped here and there to take breaks, drink water, and take off those extra layers. Although it was our first time meeting, we all went on this adventure like friends who haven’t seen each other in years. It’s one of those authentic relationships that just happened organically and I am so grateful for Joey and Kim.
One of the best memories of the day was when I let Kim borrow my watch due to her tan line. Oh the little thing that helped :)

I came across Henry's Instagram by chance, and that serendipitous moment led to the most beautiful, memorable experience.
Maybe after 10 minutes of scrolling through his work, I knew we had to have him as our photographer. I reached out to Henry that night and not long after, we officially booked him for our engagement session at Mount Rainier. My fiancé and I live in California, but the entire process of booking and planning the shoot was so simple.
In the days leading up to the shoot, we were nervous. What if we come across super awkward?! What if we end up hating the way we look?! But all that worry was for nothing when we met Henry. The drive up into the national park, the entire session, the drive back... My fiancé and I felt at ease. When we finally got home that night, we looked at each other and laughed. We wished our time with him wasn't over!
The day after our session, I received an email from Henry with a few sneak peaks. I immediately screamed. Yup. I screamed and lost my marbles in the car and scared those around me. THE PHOTOS WERE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I couldn't believe it. That was US in those photos? Only a few weeks later, we received the rest of the photos. Now the hard part is choosing which pictures we want to use for our Save the Dates!!
Henry is truly an amazing photographer and an incredible human being in general. Joey and I will be eternally grateful for the way you captured us.
