Winter Engagement at Rattlesnake Lake | Jordan and Brian

Rattlesnake Lake Engagement Photos | Seattle Washington Adventure Wedding Photographer

I often ask myself, if you are a Seattle + PNW Wedding Photographer but you haven't had a session at Rattlesnake Lake, are you even a photographer? *This is where you insert your laugh "ha, ha, ha".

Rattlesnake is such a popular spot for us Seattle Photographers since it is only about 30 mins outside of the city and it totally looks beautiful and adventurous. You can see my previous sessions at this place by clicking here: Rattlesnake 1, Rattlesnake 2. What best about this is you can do a small hike up to the ridge with stunning views of North Bend or just stay around the lake and you get to see all these fun tree stumps. Also, did I mention free parking?

Enough about this location, let's talk about Brian and Jordan. These guys reached out to me when I first started photography. If you are reading this post now, don't freak out because we did this session a while back but I just had the time to blog about it. Yes, they asked me to capture these beautiful moments for them right when I first called myself an Adventurous Wedding and Elopement photographer. Truly, I can't express my appreciation to them enough. Brian and Jordan, if you are reading this, thank you so much for trusting me and for being awesome in the snow.

Jordan wanted a Fall theme engagement sessions with lots of leaves and all the foggy, rainy, PNW vibes you can think of. Since we are both full time nurses, and her fiance was in Fire Academy, it took us a while to finally have a date where we all were available. And yes, of course, the one day it was perfect for us was the one day Seattle decided to have snow. I woke up first thing in the morning and called Jordan. I still remember how my voice was a bit shaken because it was my first time photographing in the snow and I also know how much she wanted the Fall vibes. Jordan was such a trooper, she went with it and I am glad she did.

We met at a local Starbucks before heading to this gorgeous spot. It was snowing so hard we barely moved. I think we did 10 miles/hr on a freeway. Wish I had all the behind the scenes photos here. Despite the snow and the fact that we all were freezing, these two rocked their engagement session. Their love kept them warm I guess (damn, Henry, being lovey dovey with his words). Haha, jokes aside, we took a lot of mini breaks so no one would go under hypothermia. I brought a blanket and a couple of umbrellas to keep them warm. My camera was covered in snow by the end of the session. And on top of that, I was doing an instagram takeover on Oars and Beanies so we had to take multiple shots and did some video clips to show others how I work.

Some of the photos from this session were featured all over the internet and I am not mad haha. In fact, one of them even made it on Brides.Com

Enough bragging, here are some of my favorite photos from the session
