Banff National Park: The Most Beautiful Mountains & Lake In The Canadian Rockies for Engagement & Elopement Photos
If there’s one place I wish I could come back over and over and over to photograph Engagements and Elopements, it would be Banff National Park for sure. I’ve been to a lot of beautiful places to photograph couple in love, but truly, nothing beats Banff.
Just about 150km (93 miles) from Calgary International Airport, Banff is just about an hour and 30 mins. When you get to Canmore area, you immediately get wowed by the beautiful jagged, snowcapped mountains. And if you think the views around Canmore are breathtaking, wait till you drive further West till you get to Banff.
With iconic places like turquoise, glacier-fed Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, Banff has been getting lots of tourists. So for whenever I come this direction or take couples here for engagement and elopement photos, I want to take my couples away from these crowded places. Banff is so much more than locations that are filled with buses full of tourists.
A Surprise Proposal & A Beautiful Adventure Engagement Session in Banff
Ha and Hieu originally planned on an adventure session in Washington and a month before we met up, the couple gave me a call and asked whether it would be ok to switch to Banff. Little did they know, I was screaming in excitement on the inside because I’ve been waiting for a couple to explore Banff with and they are just the perfect couple to go on adventure with.
We spent a whole day together. From waking up early to beat the crowd to taking time in between to dry off from the rain, we ended the day with a little hike around the most gorgeous emerald green lake.
Ha and Hieu invited my husband and I over for dinner, they even cooked for us. We had some really yummy homemade Asian food, we bonded over growing up stories, we connected over glasses of wine with views of foggy mountains in the back.
Ha and Hieu, I cannot wait to photograph your intimate wedding so so so soon. I am sorry COVID-19 cause so much heartache and headache but I know when we get to see each other again for your intimate wedding, it’s going to be an epic adventure. Love you both
